International Tractor runs but does not move, no electricity?

My father has a 1970 International Harvester in 1206 (I think that's the number) Hydrostatic Tractor. The use of brushhog it and drive along and stopped ……….. completely stopped driving. Always start works well, but the unit the hydraulic system does not work. Tractor has been said by local guru might be a flexible plate and shaft, but I'm not sure that's the problem we have limited experience with tractors. I just wanted to get a sense things to check before paying for parts you do not fix it. We have a manual and mechanical, is very steep, only has some ideas that this could be? plate and flexible shaft? Hydraulic Pump? UPDATE I do not know sorry for the previous model, the model number 1970 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER 1026 (I also called Farmall during this period)

Have you checked the fluid level to see if it is low hydraulic fluid? Before you start buying new parts to try to reduce the problem of the tractor is not. Usually, when the hydraulic lift will not work, is low in the liquid or the pump does not work. There are several parts of the pump could be a stuck valve or a blown gasket or something. Go to ytmag.com / nboard and follow the links and you can ask these types of tractors to your question. They are very good and the information is free to ask. The council is 8n Ford 8N tractor, but you can ask questions any tractor out there and that will take you step by step on how to fix it or tell you what is wrong with him.
